Hi Larry, Acrobat Reader 8 only exists for very
few operating systems, usually only in their
newest "reincarnations", so I recommend to have
a plugin for Acrobat Reader 7 around as well.

In addition, Acrobat Reader 8 is bloated and PDF
8 can be a security risk as they can contain other
(arbitrary) files that will typically escape the
checks of your mail/web/whatever-"wall" for now...
