Re: [Handle-info] sub prefix

Hi Sharif:
Permission for creating subprefixes, also known as a derived prefixes, is at the prefix level. And if you recall all prefixes/derived prefixes reside in the Global Registry. So CNRI creates all derived prefixes and if you note the Service Agreement they are each $50.

I have noticed some folks use derived prefixes or go ahead and get a new top level prefix. This is usually done if the new project/division, etc has nothing to do with the previous one. But all prefixes stand alone so really derived prefixes are fine in any case however, it may be helpful from a organization's point of view to use a new/different one.

Thanks
Jane

Is there a way to create sub prefix? How do people assign handle for different projects within one organization?
