Re: [Handle-info] From jdb to mysql

Sean,

Recapitulation:
    I created a myself database
    I shutdown handle server
    I add a record to the nas table
    I reconfigure config.dct to use mysql
    I start the handle server

    I use the a script to add handles, see blow.

The problem:

    I start the admintool (x-term), and authenticate.
    I try to list all handles

This is when the error occurs.

Note: the log file below is using the jdb files and not mysql.  I have a meeting  scheduled later to show how the handle server can be used as a proxy and need it to function properly.  Once that meeting ic concluded I can switch back to mysql and re-run the script to get you the log file.

-rw-r--r--    1 handle   staff        4200 Mar 12 13:15 handle_create.dat
-rwxr--r--    1 handle   staff         115 Mar 15 11:33 handle_create.ksh
-rw-r--r--    1 handle   staff        1053 Mar 15 11:38 handle_create.log

The create script linux ksh script:
$ cat handle_create.ksh
java -Xmx1000m net.handle.apps.batch.GenericBatch handle_create.dat handle_create.log

The data file:

$ cat handle_create.dat

I was not using the Xmx1000m java parameter.  I did add the parameter, but the same results are experienced.

the command I am using to start the server is ... java -Xmx1000m net.handle.server.Main /usr/local/hs/svr_1

Sean Reilly wrote:
What is the command-line you are using to start the server?  It is likely that due to using MySQL you may need to give the java process more memory using the -Xmx1000m java parameter.

Hi Steve,

In what software is this console located?  Is this the one from the handle admin tool, a custom application, or just stdout when running the server?

Thanks,
Sean
