Re: [Handle-info] how is handle related to uri

Hi Konstantin,

One thing that you might want to clarify in your diagram is the difference between identifier schemes and types of resolution systems. Your diagram describes identifier schemes, but I think that handle identifiers could be considered URIs (or not, depending on how they are written). Also, there are multiple ways that handles can be "encoded" in URIs:
http://hdl.handle.net/*
urn:hdl:*
info:hdl/*
hdl:* (arguably, since the hdl: scheme isn't formally registered yet)

So you could put handles within the URI box in your diagram.

On the other hand, "handle" also provides a resolution system that can be used for many identifiers within (or without) the URI world. In that sense you might have a "handle" box within the URI section and a "handle resolver" box somewhere else. Although describing the method used to resolve each type of identifier should probably be the subject of a separate diagram.

Thanks,
Sean

(I know that at Cordra

handle was integrated in URI )

Thanks!
