CNRI and OCLC have experimented in the past with interoperation between CNRI's Handle Service and OCLC's PURL service. As both systems have evolved, these prototype interoperations have ceased to function. Both organizations continue to have an interest in cooperation and discussions are underway to reinstate the interoperability. Further developments will be recorded in this location.
